- Is the trail paved the entire way from Canmore to Banff?Yes, the entire 22km Legacy Trail is fully paved with smooth asphalt. Suitable for road bikes, hybrids, e-bikes, and bikes with trailers. No gravel or rough sections. confirmed
- Can I ride one-way and get back to my starting point?Yes! Roam Transit Route 3 runs between Banff and Canmore with a front bike rack (holds 2 bikes). - How difficult is the Legacy Trail ride?Very easy! The net elevation gain is only about 50m over 22km with a maximum grade of about 2%. Most of the trail is nearly flat.
